The family behind the farm
We moved to our little farm (which was set up for horses at the time) in 2013 and started out with a few egg-laying chickens that next spring. Everyone knows that chickens are the gateway animals to more farm animals so it was no surprise when we added dairy goats the following year and a few beef cattle the year after that. Recently we added honeybees to round out our happy little farm!
With our operation being completely family run, it’s all-hands-on-deck all of the time. From feeding and watering the animals twice a day to fixing fences and mucking out barns, there is no shortage of jobs to do. Most days we all do it happily. Other days we just do it. Despite the never-ending list of tasks, we wouldn’t have it any other way!
